Mission Statement
We seek to provide a safe, Christian environment of play in which children are nurtured spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
Following a long tradition of providing weekday programming for preschoolers in the church community, First Baptist continues to offer full and half-day care for preschoolers, ages six weeks to four years. We presently have the
possibility of serving up to 100 girls and boys.
Design and Function
A variety of age-appropriate learning activities will be planned by trained full-day and half-day teachers/caregivers who will utilize developmentally sound curriculum to share concepts of God, Jesus, the Bible, Family, Self, Others, and the Natural World. This atmosphere of exploration through play will stimulate curiosity, allow for individual needs and abilities, and provide a realization of God-given self worth and potential.
OUR INFANTS' CLASS
We provide care for infants beginning at 6 weeks of age.
We have one infant rooms. Our infant room enrolls 5 babies with 2 teachers.
OUR CREEPERS' CLASS
We have two Creepers Classes. Each with a 1 to 6 staff to child ratio. Creepers One are infants who are from 8 to 15 months of age. Our Creepers Two Class is our next transitional class and
it ranges in age from 16 to 21 months.
OUR ONES' CLASS
Beginning with the One's Class, all of our
classes follow the same daily schedule
that is filled with: art activities, learning centers, free play
group time, out door play, and snack time.
OUR TWOS' CLASS
Though the classes may follow the same schedule,
each class is full of it's own creativity and energy.
Our threes class have a 1 to 9 staff to child ratio.
OUR THREES' CLASS
Cooperative free play is encouraged by the
teachers and staff, to help the children learn
how to build relationships among their classmates
and peers. A one to 10 ratio is followed in our
threes' class.
OUR FOURS' CLASS
Our fours have more structured, educational centers
as well as group times. Their teacher to child ratio
is 1 to 13.

District to sponsor the More at Four Program.
