ABOUT OUR JOY CLUB !
Our JOY Club was formed on January 5, 2002, to promote and provide opportunities for senior adults to participate in wholesome-social recreation, church-related activities and mission projects of special interest to seniors. Our club meets in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC, the first Tuesday of each month, September through May. Our meetings begin at 10:30 am and adjourn near 12:15 pm. At our meetings, after attending to brief Club matters, programs of interest, including music and education, are provided by invited program providers. We enjoy delightful meals together after which we adjourn. Membership dues are nine dollars ($9.00) for the club's program year plus one dollar ($1.00) for special ministries. For first-time members who join during the club year, dues are prorated at one-dollar ($1.00) per month for the month joined and the remainder of the club year plus one dollar ($1.00) for special ministries.
